O Allianz Cascais Pro foi disputado em três dias (26, 27 e 28 de Setembro), em condições de mar que evoluíram de clássicas a difíceis, com formações perfeitas de 1,5 a 2 metros no primeiro dia, ondulação consistente no segundo e multipicos com correntes fortes no terceiro dia, sempre com ondas fortes de 1,5 a 2 metros e com a esquerda do Muchacho a proporcionar o pico mais viável num mar agitado e a exigir muito do físico dos atletas.
Esta última etapa da Liga Moche consagrou os campeões nacionais 2013 masculino e feminino: Frederico Morais – ‘Kikas’ (ao apurar-se para os quartos-de-final ‘homem-a-homem’, onde seria depois eliminado por Marlon Lipke) e Carina Duarte (quando a adversária Teresa Bonvalot foi eliminada na 1ª meia-final, com Carina à espera de entrar na 2ª meia-final, onde seria depois eliminada).
O Algarve esteve representado por sete atletas: Marlon Lipke, do Clube de Surf de Faro; Luca Guichard, Joackim Guichard, Miguel Mouzinho e Pedro Tomás Alcobia, do Algarve Surf Clube; e Francisco Canelas e Paulo Alves Almeida, do Clube Naval de Portimão. Dois dos representantes algarvios – Miguel Mouzinho e Pedro Tomás Alcobia – foram eliminados logo na Ronda 1 e outros três algarvios – Joackim Guichard, Paulo Alves Almeida e Francisco Canelas – foram afastados na Ronda 2, ainda no primeiro dia de prova. Luca Guichard foi um dos dois algarvios sobreviventes ao primeiro dia, avançando para a Ronda 3 em segundo, num ‘heat’ onde o seu irmão Joackim foi eliminado em terceiro. No segundo dia de prova (sexta-feira, dia 27), Luca foi eliminado em quarto na Ronda 4, na bateria que consagrou Frederico Morais (vencedor do heat) campeão nacional 2013. Luca Guichard regressou à água hoje, no terceiro dia de prova, para a Malibu Expression Session, onde repetiu a vitória alcançada na Ericeira, provando ser um dos melhores ‘aerialistas’ do circuito nacional.
Marlon Lipke alcançou no Guincho a sua primeira vitória na Liga Moche e saltou do 20º para o 7º lugar no ranking nacional, com menos uma etapa. O surfista algarvio esteve em grande forma com mar forte e realizou uma prova notável. Apenas Eduardo Fernandes conseguiu ganhar a Marlon Lipke (Ronda 3) na Praia do Guincho. De resto, o surfista algarvio avançou sempre em primeiro.
Na Praia do Guincho, Marlon fez a melhor onda (9.5) e o terceiro melhor score (16) do evento logo no primeiro dia. O surfista algarvio destruiu na Ronda 2 as possibilidades de Francisco Alves chegar ao título; derrotou Frederico Morais no primeiro ‘heat’ (quartos-de-final ‘homem-a-homem’) que este fez após ter garantido o título nacional; e ainda fez uma onda de 9 pontos na final contra o seu companheiro de treino, Nicolaus Von Rupp. O terceiro elemento do grupo de treino, Gony Zubizarreta, foi semi-finalista derrotado por Nicolaus e terminou a prova em 3º a par de José Ferreira, o semi-finalista derrotado por Marlon.
“Estou muito contente por finalmente ter ganho uma etapa da Liga Moche, que considero a melhor liga do Mundo”, disse Marlon, no discurso de consagração. “Foi duro mas soube muito bem, uma vez que tínhamos falado os três (refere-se também a Nicolaus e a Gony) com o nosso treinador, o Zé Pyrrait, para colocarmos estas etapas como objectivo de treino… e não podia ter corrido melhor, pois ficámos nos três primeiros lugares ! Agora quero terminar a etapas do circuito mundial deste ano e tentar vencer a Liga Moche do ano que vem, o que passou a ser claramente um objectivo”, disse ainda o campeão europeu 2012.

Surf – Portuguese National Circuit ‘Liga Moche’
MARLON WINS CASCAIS PRO
Marlon Lipke today won the Allianz Cascais Pro, 5th ( last ) Event of the main Portuguese national surf circuit ‘Liga Moche’. The athlete from the Algarve, surfing for the ‘Clube de Surf de Faro’ was very strong in all batteries at Guincho Beach and made the best wave of the whole event ( 9.5 ) on the first day. Luca Guichard (‘Algarve Surf Clube’) was another surfer from the Algarve noteworthy in this event by winning the Malibu Expression Session, earning a cash prize of 500 Euros .
The Allianz Pro Cascais was played over three days ( 26 , 27 and 28 September ) in sea conditions that evolved from classical to hard, with perfect waves from 1.5 to 2 meters on the first day, a consisten swell on the second day and strong currents on the third day, always with strong waves 1.5 to 2 meters, with the left of the peak Muchacho providing the best scorer in a seaway which required a lot of the athletes .
This last event of the ‘League Moche’ crowned the Portuguese male and female champions 2013: Frederico Morais – ‘ Kikas ‘ (when qualifying for the quarter- final ‘man- on-man’ , where he would then be eliminated by Marlon Lipke) and Carina Duarte (when the opposing Teresa Bonvalot was eliminated in the 1st semi-final, with Carina waiting to enter the 2nd semi-final, where she would be eliminated).
The Algarve was represented by seven surfers in this event: Marlon Lipke, representing the ‘Clube de Surf de Faro’; Luca Guichard , Joackim Guichard , Pedro Tomás Alcobia e Miguel Mouzinho, representing the ‘Algarve Surf Clube’; and Francisco Canelas and Paulo Alves Almeida, representing the ‘Clube Naval de Portimão’. Two representatives of the Algarve – Miguel Mouzinho and Pedro Tomás Alcobia – were eliminated in Round 1 and three other ‘Algarveans’ – Joackim Guichard, Paulo Alves Almeida and Francisco Canelas – were ousted in Round 2, in the first day of competition.
Luca Guichard was one of two ‘Algarveans’ survivors of the first day , advancing to Round 3 second in a heat where his brother Joackim was eliminated in third. On the second day of the event (Friday, 27th), Luca was eliminated in fourth in Round 4, in the heat that crowned Frederico Morais ( heat winner ) Portuguese national champion 2013. Luca Guichard returned to the water today, third day of the event, to the Malibu Expression Session, in which he repeated the victory achieved in Ericeira, proving to be one of the best ‘aerialists’ in the Portuguese national circuit .
Marlon Lipke obtained at Guincho his first victory in the ‘Liga Moche’ and jumped from 20th to 7th place in the Portuguese ‘Ranking’, with one event less. The surfer from the Algarve was in great shape in strong sea and realized a remarkable event: he made the best wave of the event (9.5) on the first day; destroyed in Round 2 the possibilities of Francisco Alves at the title, defeated Frederico Morais in the first ‘ heat ‘ (quarter- final ‘man-on-man’) that he disputed after having secured the national title. Marlon even made a wave of 9 points in the final against his training partner, Nicolaus von Rupp . The third element of the training group, Gony Zubizarreta was semi-finalist defeated by Nicolaus and finished the race in 3rd alongside José Ferreira, the semi-finalist defeated by Marlon.
“I am delighted to have finally won a stage of the ‘Liga Moche’, which I consider the best league in the world,” said Marlon. ” It was hard but tasted very well, since we three (refers also to Nicolaus and Gony) had spoken with our coach, Zé Pyrrait to put these steps as aim to workout … and it could not have gone better because we were in the top three ! Now I want to finish the world tour this year and try to win the ‘Liga Moche’ next year”, added the European champion in 2012.
