Vela – Prova de Apuramento Regional em Vilamoura

Tiago Serra, campeão nacional juvenil de vela, venceu de forma categórica a 2º Prova de Apuramento Regional (PAR) em Optimist, disputada no passado fim-de-semana, 2 e 3 de Fevereiro, em Vilamoura. O jovem velejador do Clube de Vela de Lagos está imbatível nesta época: venceu as duas PAR já realizadas e as duas etapas do Campeonato de Vela Ligeira do Algarve 2012/2013 em que participou ( Lagos e Portimão ).
Em Vilamoura foram disputadas cinco regatas (a sexta não se realizou por falta de vento) em dois dias. Tiago Serra venceu duas, ficou em segundo noutras duas e obteve ainda um quarto lugar descartável para a pontuação final. Terminou a prova com impressionantes 6 pontos, menos 9 que o segundo classificado. Um domínio absolutamente inquestionável.

De acordo com fonte do Clube Internacional da Marina de Vilamoura (CIMAV), esta prova contou apenas para o ranking regional juvenil, que qualifica os velejadores para o Campeonato de Portugal deste escalão etário, previsto decorrer em Viana do Castelo, entre os dias 20 a 24 de Março. Mas a prova em Vilamoura esteve aberta a todas as classes de vela ligeira (com excepção de prancha à vela): Optimist (infantil e juvenil) e Laser (4.7 e Radial).
O Clube de Vela de Lagos e o Clube Naval de Portimão dividiram entre si os primeiros lugares nas diferentes categorias. Destaque também para Beatriz Gago, campeã nacional infantis femininos, que venceu a prova na sua categoria. A velejadora do Clube Naval de Portimão concluiu a prova no 30º posto da classificação geral de Optimist.
A 3ª Prova de Apuramento Regional está marcada para os dias 2 e 3 de Março, em Tavira. Mas Vilamoura, em mês intenso de vela , recebe já no próximo fim-de-semana, entre os dias 9 e 11, o 39º Torneio Internacional do Carnaval, que integra o Campeonato de Portugal de Classes Olímpicas e a 1ª Etapa do Campeonato Nacional de Formula Windsurfing.

Sailing – Regional Qualifiers at Vilamoura
TIAGO SERRA UNBEATABLE
Tiago Serra, national sailing champion age group Juvenis, emphatically won the 2nd Test of Regional Qualifiers (PAR) in Optimist, held last weekend, 2nd and 3rd of February in Vilamoura. The young sailor representing Clube de Vela de Lagos is so far unbeatable this season, winning both PAR already held and the two events for the Algarve Dinghy Sailing Championship Championship 2012/2013 in which he participated (Lagos and Portimão).
In Vilamoura, five regattas were held (the sixth was not realized due to lack of wind) in two days. Tiago Serra won twice, finished second in two other and still got a fourth place disposable for the final score. He finished the event with impressive 6 points, 9 less than the runner. A domain absolutely unquestionable.
According to a source from Clube Internacional da Marina de Vilamoura (CIMAV), the event qualifier counted only for the age group Juvenis regional ranking, which qualifies for the Championship of Portugal in that age group, expected to take place at Viana do Castelo, between days 20 to 24 March. But the event in Vilamoura was open to all classes of dinghy sailing (with the exception of windsurfing): Optimist (age groups Juvenis and Infantis) and Laser (4.7 and Radial).
Clube de Vela de Lagos and Clube Naval de Portimão divided among them the first places in different categories. Highlights also Beatriz Gago, national sailing champion age gropu Girls Infantis, who won the event in its category. The sailor representing Club Naval de Portimão completed the event in 30th in the overall rankings of Optimist.
The 3rd Test of Regional Qualifiers is scheduled for the 2nd and 3rd March in Tavira. But Vilamoura has an intense month of sailing, receiving as early as next weekend, between 9 and 11, the 39th International Carnival Tournament, which integrates the Championship of Portugal Olympic Classes and Stage 1 of the Portuguese Formula Windsurfing Championship.
