O campeão europeu de formula windsurfing, Miguel Martinho vai competir no Campofrio Alqueva Formula Windsurfing 2014, que se disputa entre os dias 1 e 4 de Março. O atleta algarvio vai medir forças com competidores de top mundial, como o francês Valentin Brault e o italiano Marco Begalli, numa prova que conta para quatro ‘rankings’: mundial, europeu, ibérico de águas interiores e português.
O velejador portimonense, atleta do Clube Naval de Portimão venceu as duas últimas edições deste campeonato, em 2013 nos Açores e em 2012 no Alqueva. Nesta edição, Miguel Martinho vai viajar para a Barragem do Alqueva com outros competidores algarvios: João Laranjo, Vasco Chaveca e Luís Fonseca.
É o primeiro campeonato de Miguel Martinho desde Setembro do ano passado, quando disputou o campeonato espanhol e foi terceiro classificado.

MIGUEL MARTINHO BACK IN ACTION
The windsurfing european champion Miguel Martinho will compete in the ‘Campofrio Alqueva Formula Windisurfing 2014’, from the 1st to the 4th of March. The great athlete from the Algarve will be put to test by some of the world best windsurfers, like Valentin Brault (FRA) and Marco Begalli (ITA). The event gives points to four rankings: World, European, Iberian (inland waters) and Portuguese.
The sailor from Portimão has won the last two editions of this event, at Azores in 2013 and again in Alqueva in 2012. Miguel Martinho will be competing with other fellow sailors from the Algarve: João Laranjo, Vasco Chaveca and Luís Fonseca.
This is the first event of the new season, the first event for Miguel Martinho since September last year, when he finished 3rd in the spanish championship.
