Canoagem – Campeonato Nacional de Mar
SEGUNDA ETAPA EM LAGOA
A segunda etapa do Campeonato Nacional de Canoagem de Mar vai realizar-se no Algarve, no concelho de Lagoa, no próximo dia 20 de Abril. O ‘Praias de Lagoa – Downwind’ vai ser disputado entre as praias Grande e Senhora da Rocha, a partir das 15h00, numa distância de 15 a 20 quilómetros em mar aberto.
As inscrições para a prova estão abertas até ao próximo dia 10 e podem ser feitas através da página da Federação Portuguesa de Canoagem na Internet (www.fpcanoagem.pt). Como estipulam os novos regulamentos desta competição, a prova está aberta a três classes (Masculino Feminino e Misto) e tem duas divisões: Ocean Ski e Open.
A Divisão Ocean Ski é para embarcações de surfski ou kayaks de mar com dois lugares e divide-se pelas categorias Junior, Senior, Absoluto e Veteranos A, B, C. A Divisão Open é para kayaks de mar monolugares, canoas, outriggers e stand up paddle e tem uma única categoria: Absoluto.
As provas disputam-se em mar aberto e numa distância variável entre os 15 e os 35 quilómetros. Devem ter partida e chegada em locais diferentes e o percurso deve ser feito a favor da corrente (Downwind).
A primeira etapa deste campeonato disputou-se em Sesimbra, no passado dia 23 de Março. Em relação à participação algarvia, o resultado com maior destaque foi o terceiro lugar colectivo obtido pelo Kayak Clube Castores do Arade (KCCA), clube de Lagoa co-responsável pela organização do prova no próximo dia 20 de Abril.
O Campeonato Nacional de Canoagem de Mar 2013 tem um total de cinco etapas. A terceira vai ser em Setúbal, no dia 18 de Maio, e a quarta em Vila Nova de Milfontes, no dia 10 de Junho. O campeonato termina no Porto, no dia 29 de Junho.

Stop 2 of the Portuguese Sea Kayaking Championship 2013 will be held in the Algarve, in the municipality of Lagoa, on 20th April. The ‘Praias de Lagoa – Downwind’ will be raced between ‘Praia Grande’ and ‘Praia Senhora da Rocha’, from 15:00, in a distance of 15 to 20 kilometers offshore.
Registrations for the event are open until the 10th and can be made through the website of the Portuguese Canoeing Federation – ‘Federação Portuguesa de Canoagem’ on the Internet (www.fpcanoagem.pt). As stipulated in the new regulations of this competition, the race is open to three classes (Male and Female Mixed) and has two divisions: Open and Ocean Ski.
The Ocean Ski Division is for surfski or sea kayaks with two seats and is divided into the categories Junior, Senior, and Veterans Absolute A, B, C. The Open Division is for single seater sea kayaks, canoes, outriggers and stand up paddle and has a single category: Absolute.
The ‘tracks’ are in open sea waters for a distance varying between 15 and 35 kilometers. Must have start and finish in different places and the route should be done with the current (Downwind).
