A Federação Portuguesa de Surf divulgou esta semana o calendário para o Circuito Nacional Surf Esperanças 2013. O programa foi apresentado durante a reunião anual de clubes federados, em Peniche, na qual foi definida uma alteração ao modelo daquele circuito: deixa de ter heats de 6 atletas nas suas rondas iniciais.
Este ano, o circuito nacional de Esperanças regressa ao formato de 4 atletas por bateria (heat), cabendo aos directores técnicos de cada prova decidir, consoante o andamento da mesma se aplicam heats de 15 ou 20 minutos. Foi esta a principal decisão saída da reunião de clubes no novíssimo Centro de Alto Rendimento de Peniche.
O circuito nacional de Esperanças disputa-se nas categorias sub-12, sub-14 e sub-16. Recorde-se que em 2012, na categoria sub-16, o 4º classificado no ´ranking’ nacional foi o atleta algarvio (de Portimão) Francisco Duarte, grande vencedor, na mesma categoria, do Circuito de Surf do Algarve 2012 .

2ª Etapa: Peniche (16; 17 e 18 de Março)
3ª Etapa: Aveiro (21; 22 e 23 de Junho)
4ª Etapa: Viana do Castelo (2; 3 e 4 de Agosto)
5ª Etapa: Ericeira (4; 5 e 6 de Outubro)
6ª Etapa (finalíssima): S. Pedro do Estoril (2 e 3 de Novembro)

HEATS OF 6 DROPPED
Federação Portuguesa de Surf (portuguese surf federation) announced this week the calendar for the National Surf Young Division Circuit 2013. The calendar was presented at the annual meeting of federated clubs held in Peniche, which defined a change to the model of that circuit: no more heats of 6 athletes in their early rounds.
This year, the portuguese young division circuit returns to the format 4 athletes per battery (heat), leaving to the technical directors of each event the decision, depending on the progress, to apply heats of 15 or 20 minutes. This was the main output decision of the meeting of clubs in the brand new High Performance Center in Peniche.
The young division national circuit is disputed in the categories under-12, under-14 and under-16. Recall that in 2012, in the under-16 category, the 4th ranked nationally was an athlete from the Algarve (Portimão), Francisco Duarte, winner in the same category (under-16) of the Algarve Surf Tour 2012.
