Manuel Mestre, aka ‘Necas’, one of the pioneers of surfing at Algarve and now president of the Algarve Surf Clube made his Theater debut yesterday, at Teatro Lethes, Faro, with the solo play ‘The Other Me’, written and presented by himself.
The historical venue in the regional capital of the Algarve was filled with surfers, friends and relatives of the veteran and charismatic surfer of the Algarve, best known for his longboard record. On stage, ‘Necas’ presented a 20 minutes solo play about him, talking with his other self during a morning surfing session at Faro Island. Great courage, good performance and lots of laughs.
